Non-Tradeable tomes are meant to be a complement for professionals or a way for casuals to expand their collection - they are used for entry fees/prizes in chaos brawls and duels of this type and can only ever be associated with a single account.
These tomes each contain 20 scrolls, divided evenly in best effort fashion across all domains with no filler scrolls.
These scrolls themselves are ownable but completely locked which means you can also open the tomes to add scrolls to your collection, but you won't be able to trade them in any future functionality.
The biggest advantage of these tomes is providing a cheaper way of acquiring scrolls for your own collection (directly or by playing chaos brawls with them), since they can't be re-sold they can be acquired at a smaller cost.
On the other hand they change the dynamics of chaos brawls because now your picks actually end in your collection and the draft portion is no longer against bots but real human players.
Special format tomes (with limited/special pools of scrolls) are part of the developments planned in Aether Summon's roadmap and they will be part of the non-tradeable tomes.
This will allow us to introduce scrolls that might be in deficient numbers in the global pool, or are needed for competitive play due to some reason, without affecting too much the marketplace value of the actual, fully owned, scrolls that players have in their collections.
